SoS - Safeguarding

Project description

The Seminar on Safeguarding will be a two and a half day seminar, where 28 participants and 4 trainers will meet and exchange on practices and policies on safeguarding. Different sessions will provide opportunities and coaching by experts for participants to practice their skills and mindset.
The seminar will take place from the 21st to the 24th October 2021 in Turin (Italy).

Objectives

The aim of the seminar is to make the participants more familiar with existing practices and policies about safeguarding. They will become more confident in taking an active role in protecting the young people in their youth work and their organisations.
  1. Exchange about present thoughts, policy and practice about safeguarding.
  2. Thinking about the youth work praxis, based on descriptions in ‘Dignity’.
  3. Concluding priorities for the own youth work style and the own organisations.
  4. Online safeguarding: risks, expertise and good practices.
  5. Developing common basis for policy on online safeguarding..
  6. Developing a session on safeguarding to be used within the network and by all members.
  7. Final reflection on the policy and practice on safeguarding in the different youth work organisations and the opportunities for change coming from the seminar.
